On Saturday 26 July, high school students from Canterbury College Naomi and Cressida competed in the ACF’s Queensland Junior Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge and won their regional heat.  The girls will now have to compete with finalists from throughout Queensland on stage at the Ekka on Saturday 15 August.

Chef Express provided the year 10 girls with Chef Mentor, Adam Gleaves to help them come up with a dish and teach them some of the advanced skills that were compulsory in the dish.

The girls learnt to:

·         bone a chicken Maryland

·         turn vegetables

The criteria also called for indigenous product to be used in the dish.

But as the final still awaits you will have to wait to see awesome dish the pair prepared.
