I do love season produce and right now mulberries are in season. Not only are they are in season, they are available everywhere for free! You just need to keep your eyes peeled for a tree and get picking.

Whipping up is mulberry pie is so very easy.

3 cups mulberries

¼ cup plain flour


Two sheets puffed pastry

1 tbs milk

  1. Mix three cups of mulberries with ¼ plain flour. Add sugar if you want. You can add up to ¼ cup but I just added a couple of table spoons. The fruit is sweet enough.
  2. Line pie dish with pastry.
  3. Spoon in mixture.
  4. Lattice pastry on top
  5. Brush top with milk.
  6. Bake in a warm oven, about 175⁰ until golden brown.
